Even though this Year’s U. S. Open was won by Gary Woodland, Brooks Koepka finished a close 2nd! Koepka has been on an incredible run over the past few years on the PGA tour. He won the 2017 and 2018 U. S. Opens. He won the PGA Championship in 2018 and 2019.
He is currently ranked #1 in the world for professional golfers. He attended Florida State University and became a professional in 2012. Koepka started his career playing the European Challenge Tour and eventually the European Tour. He plays golf fearlessly. His game combines amazing strength and also incredible touch around the greens. He is 29 years old, which if he stays healthy that will mean he is going to be contending for titles for many years to come.
Brooks Koepka is pictured to the right holding one of his multiple major championship trophies!
For many of us we are in awe of his sheer power and what he has accomplished in his rather short career.
Here are a few ways to start playing more like Brooks:
-schedule an overall game check-up with a pro
-start or continue a stretching and/or exercise program
-get out and practice drills that your golf pro suggests for you
-go out and play at least 9-18 holes per week
Quote of the week:
“I'm hitting the woods just great, but I'm having a terrible time getting out of them."
